concept boards



D&AD rain brief

Using the quote "The condensed moisture of the atmosphere falling visibly in separate drops" I wanted to experiment with patterns using a minimal approach. The last image was the design that I ended up submitting.




All in all I was reasonably happy with the designs, however, I'll probably re-visit them as I feel I could've taken the brief further.

 After having a look through some paper tutorials online I thought I'd try cutting/folding paper into potential architectural forms for the exhibition space/

If i have time i'd like to screen print as I feel it would compliment the designs more so then digital aswell as creating a more vibrant colour combination.

Experimenting with the illusion of two-dimensional form:




















Using the actions button I repeated 'copy, paste, move, rotate'. The shape that was created works well with the concept as it almost gives the depth of a bird in flight. I've been playing around with backgrounds etc & am considering creating double-sided posters for the fair...
