Although I'm reasonably happy with how the brief turned out I think I could've taken more care with finalising the designs in order to make them more proffessional.

I've mocked up a stand in which the t-shirts would be sold at the festival so I can get an idea about method of delivery...

Developing the range in terms of clothing tags, receipts, banners etc...

product development

I've been working on creating a bigger range for my product. I've done this by creating different deliverables from one design such as a block coloured background, different colours, sizes etc

These are the designs I've been focusing on as they're the type of designs that are most appropriate for the festival.

t-shirt

I've decided to expand my range by including a unisex vest & a woman's crop tee. This will increase sales by expanding the market and target audience. Each item will come in a S, M & L.

initial designs

I wanted to start mocking up some of the sketches i had done for the festival t-shirts so I could get some feedback in order to help me develop my designs.



































The feedback I got from the group was to keep developing the designs that relate more to the dimensions logo so the plan is to develop these designs further.

Brief proposal

After taking the briefs apart we had to re-write our own brief. I've decided to create  range of t-shirt designs for the Dimensions Festival 2012. This is an underground electronic music festival in Croatia.

In todays session with Fred we looked at product, range & distribution helping to understand the potential of a product range.

Anatating the briefs

architecture

 After having a look through some paper tutorials online I thought I'd try cutting/folding paper into potential architectural forms for the exhibition space/

feedback

In this session we had our first crit where we shared our initial ideas and got feedback from the group.

flexagon

I wanted to experiment with interactive design for the fedrigoni stock. This flexagon continuously folds outwards which could be really interesting if we encorporated type. It could potentially fit into the exhibition as a giant piece of moving origami?

abstract shapes

Today we were experimenting with stock that could used as an interactive piece of design. Glueing together folded squares resulted in these abstract shapes which we found really interesting. These shapes inspired me to look at scale as they're quite sculptural and could be fitted into the exhibition.

After analysing the briefs we both settled on the Fedrigoni brief...

collaboration

Today we promoted ourselves in order to find our suited partner for the collaboration brief. We produced a couple of posters with "I am" and "I am looking for". I decided to keep my design pretty simple but wanted to be playful at the same time & produced these "me" & "you" designs.

After having a look around Niall & I decided we would work well together as designers.
